Would it be possible to add tracking number to a woocommerce order when I click 'Despatch'?
It could be something as simple as adding an Order Note e.g. 'Tracking No. xxxxxxxxxxx'
PP already changes the status of the order from 'Processing' to 'Completed' when I click 'Despatch' so it should be possible.

Thanks for the post. Packing Partner already tries to add tracking when you despatch, but will only do so if you have a tracking number with the sale record.
If you do have tracking numbers (I believe this is the case), and it's not working, please can you email us and we can proceed from there, as there may be an extension in your WooCommerce store which is preventing that from working.
If you don't have tracking numbers, then depending on how you process your sales, you can import them from the carrier or add manually when you mark shipped.
On your order pages, you should have a box for carrier name and tracking number. If you don't see those then that would expalin it.

I'm a little confused by your reply.
Yes - In Packing Partner I use tracking numbers which I import into the Sales Record.
I sell via eBay, Amazon and Woocommerce. When I despatch the tracking details are sent upto eBay and Amazon correctly.
However, in Woocommerce there is no field/box etc on the Order page that comes with the standard system for entering any carrier or tracking number to the order. This is only possible with a Plugin such as 'Advanced Shipment Tracking' (there are others).
Are you saying I need to add such a plugin and if so which plugin do you integrate with?

Is there any response to this yet?
What plugin extension to woocommerce does PP integrate with to add shipping/tracking details? There are several available and I want to make sure I will be using the correct one.

Hi Simply NikNaks!! I'm interested to know which Plugin you have used for adding tracking to your Woocommerce orders.
I am using Woocommerce Shipment Tracking. The tracking number is transfered into Woocommerce, but I still haven't managed to make the tracking number clickable for the customer (unless I type it in manually and select Royal Mail).

At moment I am not using any plugin.
They say PP is compatible with the plugin you are using but I cannot help with the link in the email not working, sorry, as I do not use the plugin. That may be a question you have to direct to the plugin devs.
As the plugin has an ongoing annual fee it is a little overkill for my needs. It is rare I get a query about tracking so I do not need to add any link to the 'Completed Order' email via the plugin.
The occasional time I do get a query I just open up PP and lookup the Order Number and I can see the tracking number which I then forward on. It is this step I was hoping to miss out by having PP attach the Tracking Number to the Notes field of the Order. If it did that I could just copy/paste the number directly from the woocommerce orders screen instead of having to open up PP.

Oh yes, I totally agree about the unnecessary cost, I feel the same. I've now changed things a bit, when I mark dispatched it updates the order as SHIPPED. I then copy and paste the tracking number in the order as that provides the link. Then mark as completed. I could save myself $49 pa by just copying the tracking number from PP! My website doesn't get half the orders it used to, now that I've lost most of my European customers etc etc etc. If PP could add the tracking number to notes on the order screen that would be much better and I could delete the app.

Hi Aimco, just to say that after the new update today my tracking number and tracking link now work fine :)
