Maintaining Amazon VTR

To ensure you maintain the required 95% VTR on Amazon, you need to specify a carrier that Amazon supports.

If you use a carrier that Amazon doesn't support e.g. APC or Whistl, they will not affect your VTR, but you should still mark your orders despatched with the carrier, service and tracking.

Shipping Rules and Carriers

When you specify a shipping rule or change the carrier in Packing Partner, the carrier name drop-down has a checkbox, to only show Amazon supported carriers.

If you use one of these, and add tracking details when you mark shipped. The correct details will be sent to Amazon, when you mark sales despatched, through the Browser or Express Tab.

Royal Mail Untracked Services

You can use Royal Mail untracked services, but you must supply the correct service name, otherwise Amazon will assume it is a tracked service with an invalid tracking number.

Make sure you choose from the list below, then Packing Partner will translate the Method into the correct service for uploading to Amazon.

Royal Mail Scanning

One issue with Royal Mail is that they only scan 80% of parcels, which can result in your order being marked as late or not delivered. This can be overcome by creating your Royal Mail labels via Amazon Seller Central, as described below.

You can link your OBA account to Amazon, and create your labels via Seller Central, either manually in Manage Orders, or by using our On Demand Labels to download from the Merchant Fulfilment API, described below.
