For years I have been running PP in a virtual Win 7 environment on an iMac.
I can't take it anymore. It's now far too slow to continue using.
I am therefore going to buy a Windows laptop for the sole purpose of using Packing Partner.
What sort of spec should I look for? Bear in mind that the ONLY thing this laptop will be used for is Packing Parter and Microsoft Excel (for the occasional correcting of errors in CSV files before uploading to Click & Drop).
The highest number of sales records I would collect and process per day is 200 max.

Nothing special, Packing Partner doesn't need a lot of processing power or memory.
A standard PC or laptop with 4Gb memory and 500Gb HD, will be fine.

Thanks Andrew. Would one of the little notebooks with 4GB RAM and a 64GB solid state drive be OK? Or would 64GB be too small?

They would certainly be fast enough, but you'd need to be careful with what you install.
Windows takes around 20Gb and Windows updates can take another 8Gb.
Packing Partner files are very small, so are unlikely to use more than a couple of gigabytes over the next five years.

That's fab. Thanks Andrew :-)
