"PC Time Not Set" error, updated, now fully reset.

Hey Andrew - opened up Aimco today to be given an error along the lines of: PC time not set, please set it correctly, blah blah. Followed by a "Program corrupted..." error. Sorry I don't have the exact message, because...Downloaded updater, updated, opened PP and was then greeted by the standard setup routine with the whole thing at defaults. I don't think it even has my serial installed.Any idea what's happened, and if it's fixable? Also - what a PP backup files normally titled? I've no idea where mine are, or if they'll work :)Christopher
EDIT: Trying to restore from backups (tue & mon) is just giving me "PP is corrupt" errors when starting. It was working fine on Monday, fwiw. Any tips?

Seems to be giving corrupt error whenever I copy the settings.ini and/or settings.dat files over from the backup. Any way to fix these, bar going over every setting manually and redoing them?

Ok I think it's fixed. Magic trick was to, after copying over backup, replace all the data under [System] in settings.ini (the backup version) with the data from the original (or rather, the one that was installed with the update). This is the erronous one, if it helps:

The working replacement was:

I'm glad you've got it working.

For reference, the best way is to:

  • close Packing Partner

  • restore the backup

  • run the installer again

Running the installer will fix any issues in the ini file.
