Amazon VTR

Amazon VTR Rules
We have updated Packing Partner to allow for the new Amazon VTR rules, but there are some things you may need to do. Please see our online help for full details

  1. click here to Install the latest version of Packing Partner

  2. Ensure you are using an Amazon carrier as your Carrier Name, in your shipping rules and Preset Shipping Menus.

  3. Mark records shipped, enter tracking numbers and mark sales despatched through the Browser or Express tab.

Carrier not in Amazon list
If your carrier isn't in the Amazon carriers list, your VTR won't be affected as Packing Partner will use Other and send the Carrier Name and Service, you have provided.

Royal Mail Parcels
There can be an issue with Royal Mail parcels not being scanned, which can affect your VTR. To prevent this you can link your OBA account to Amazon Shipping and do one of the following:

  • Purchase your RM labels directly from Amazon Seller Central

  • Use On Demand Labels* in Packing Partner to purchase Amazon labels (A setup and and per label fee applies)

Using either of these will automatically add your label details and mark the order shipped on Amazon. Please Email us for details.

Royal Mail Untracked Services
For untracked services to be excluded from VTR, the service must match one from Amazon's Service drop-down e.g 1st Class not First Class.

  • Royal Mail 1st Class

  • Royal Mail 2nd Class

We have updated the list of methods in Packing Partner. Please use one from the drop-down in the latest version.
Packing Partner will translate our Method and prefix it with Royal Mail to match Amazon's list. There is more information in the online help
