Importing Shared Files
Importing Packing Partner files created on another PC, or shared with you by Aimco Software.
Downloading shared files

Navigate to the link that you have been sent, where you will see a list of the files. There are two options for downloading.
  1. Use the Download All button on the top right, which will create a zip file and download it. You will need to unzip the downloaded file, before importing.
  2. Download each file separately which can be accessed from your download folder, they do not need to be unzipped.

Shipping rules .rules

On the Records Tab toolbar, click Shipping>Edit Shipping Rules, then at the bottom of the dialog, click Import.

Select the file and click Open on the select file dialog. The file will be copied to Packing Partner's data folder, where it will be accessed from. The imported file replaces the active shipping rules.

Click the Layout Tab on the bottom of Packing Partner (Alt+L) then select Layout>Open>Layout File

Select the file and click Open on the select file dialog. The file will be copied to Packing Partner's layout folder, where it will be accessed from. If you need to re-open the file, you can just select it from the Recent list or from the Layout folder.

Scripting file .ps3

In Packing Partner select Tools>Scripting (Alt+S) to open the Script Editor, then select Import from the main toolbar.

Select the file and click Open. The file will be copied to Packing Partner's script folder, where it will be accessed from. You don't need to import the file again, once imported, it will be saved and used from the script folder.
Important
After importing, click Run from the Script Editor toolbar. If you script is not running as expected, please try closing and opening Packing Partner to restart it.

Export template .export

In the Records Tab, select Records>Export to File>Export ..., from the toolbar click Open.

Select the file and click Open on the file selection dialog. The template file will be copied to Packing Partner's resource folder, where it will be accessed from. The last template to be opened, is remembered and used as the default cent time you export.
