Process Sales Records
Orders in Packing Partner are called records. In this tab you can see and update the status of each record, print picking and packing lists and assign carriers.

Main Toolbar

Filtering records


Filter textbox
Filter the current view records. You can use single words and phrases and use & and | symbols for and/or searches.
Filter
Shows a drop-down list of user defined record filters. Clicking the menu item will paste the text into the filter textbox and filter the records.
Invert
Inverts the records that are filtered. e.g records that do not match the filter will be displayed.
Ticked
Filter all records that have been ticked. Useful if you are filtering or selecting records that are not next to each other, so you can see only the ones you have ticked.
Select and sort


Select
Selects a number of records from the top of the view
Sort
Sorts the records by the selected order. The Script menu item can be used to create custom sorting from Scripting.
Printing button


Picking List
Print a list grouped by products order, that is used to pick items and take them to a packing area. Options for picking lists are in Settings.
Packing List
Print a list of each order to be included in a parcel. Options for packing lists are in Settings.
Postal Record
If you take your parcels to a Post Office and pay over the counter, this will print a list that can be stamped by the Post Office as proof of despatch.
Customs Details
When sending parcels overseas, this option will print customs details, either from documents supplied by your carrier when on demand labels are created, or using the built in commercial invoice and CN23.
Print Layout
Prints the currently selected records on a user defined layout that is designed in the Layouts Tab.
Quick Print
Prints the currently selected records, using the last layout that was selected in Print Layout.
Quick Preview
Previews the currently selected records, using the last layout that was selected in Print Layout.
Mark Printed
Marks the currently selected records as Printed.
Print Options
Opens the Settings dialog at the Printing Tab.
Packing button


Note to Packers
Adds a note to the selected records and sends it to Mobile Picking and Packing Stations.
Send to Packers
Sends the selected records to Mobile Picking and Packing Stations.
Refresh Status
Manually refresh the status and any notes from Mobile Picking and Packing Stations.
Add Packing Note
Adds a new packing note or amends one that came from Mobile Picking or Packing Stations.
Packing Status
Manual override, to change the picking/packing status of the selected records.
Edit Packing Options
Opens the settings dialog at the Packing tab, to edit the Mobile Picking and Packing Station options.
Manage Device Access
Opens the device management dialog to connect Mobile Picking and Packing Stations, and edit user access names and passwords.
Shipping button
Create

Create Carrier Labels
Connects to your chosen carrier and creates labels for the selected records. You will need an account with a carrier and have credentials entered in the Credentials Dialog.
Cancel Shipments
Cancel shipments and shipping labels that you aren't going to use. Currently only works for Parcelforce.
Carrier Manifests
Creates and sends a manifest to the carrier. This is currently only required for GFS.
Amend Carrier Details

Open the amend carrier dialog to change the carrier, service and other shipping details.

Listed underneath the amend carrier menu item, are any carrier presets that have been saved.

Export for Carriers
This option is now only used for a few carriers, and ones that have an export defined in scripting.
Import Carrier PDF
This option is now only used for a few carriers, and ones that have an export defined in scripting.
Mark Shipped
Mark currently selected records as Shipped.
Scan Shipped
Allows packages to be scanned to mark shipped. To use this option, the shipping label or packing note/invoice must have the Record Id printed on it.
Edit Shipper Details
Opens the Settings dialog at the Shipper Tab, to edit the sender details.
Edit Presets Menu
Open the Carrier Details dialog to add and amend carrier presets.
Edit Shipping Rules
Opens the Shipping Rules dialog to add and amend shipping rules.
Label Subscriptions
Opens the payment dialog for on demand label subscriptions.
Email Button


Send Emails
Sends an email using a template to the selected buyers.
Email History
Opens a dialog to view your recent email history.
Email Options
Opens settings at the Email Tab to set email options and create email templates.
Email Exclusions
Add email addresses to a list of emails that you don't want to automated emails to be sent to.
Records button


Import from File
Imports records from file, using the Import Records dialog.
Export to File
Exports records in CSV format using the Export Records dialog.
Record Note
Adds a note to the selected records. The note can be printed or exported as a field if records are exported.
Record Tags
Adds a user defined tag to the selected records. Tags are defined in the Manage Tags dialog.
Hold Selected
Moves the selected records to the Holding view. Records in the holding view are not processed as part of your work flow.
Release Selected
Release the selected records from holding. Records released from holding will now be available to process with other records.
Transfer Out
Transfer records to Packing Partner on another PC. You will be asked for the name of the destination PC. This removes the records from this PC, They will not be available to process until they are imported into the destination PC.
Transfer In
Transfer records into this PC that have been sent from another PC.
Resend Selected
Changes the status of the selected records to Collected. You will have the option to remove carrier details and tracking. This allows records to be resent with the current carrier and tracking information, or for them to have shipping rules and stored metrics applied again.
Mark Completed
Marks the selected records as completed. This menu option is only available when in Shipped view.
Remove Selected
Removes the record from the current records, and optionally from the archive and Express records (if it originated from Express)

View Buttons

Processing status


Collected
Displays all records that have a status of Collected. This view also enables some toolbar buttons and menu items that are only available to records in Printed status.
Printed
Once records have been printed their status changes to Printed. There is an option in settings to send records to Mobile Picking and Packing Stations when they are marked Printed.
These are only enabled for Mobile Picking Apps or Packing Stations


Picking
The record has been sent to the Mobile Picking apps.
Packing
The record has been sent to Packing Stations.
Packed
The record has been reported packed from a Packing Station.
Notes
Records that have had a note added by Mobile Picking or Packing Station.
Issues
Records that have been marked as having an issue by Mobile Picking or Packing Station.


Holding
Records that have been Holding status. Holding status is used to move records that need special attention to be moved out of the normal processing flow.
Shipped
Records that have been marked as shipped. The records will be marked despatched on the selling channel, either automatically if they were transferred from the Express Tab, or manually if they were collected from the Browser Tab.
Completed

Once records have been marked despatched automatically on Express or manually through the Browser, they are marked with Completed Status in the Records Tab.

Records that are mark completed will be removed from the current view the number of days set in settings.

Current
Shows all the records that are in the current records database.
Search records


Search
Shows the records that have been found in a record search. See Searching Records
