Packing Station Overview
The Packing Station is a separate app which is used to create and print on demand carrier labels for parcels. The Packing Station is an add-on product with an additional subscription. Please see prices here.
Subscribing | In the Account Tab>Subscription view, under Packing Stations, click Subscription.

![]() Once logged in to your account, you can select the number of Packing Stations you need, and subscribe.

Allowing Access | If you are installing on a different PC to Packing Partner, when first running the Packing Station, you will be asked to enter a connection code. If you install on the same PC, connection to Packing Partner will be automatic.
Packing Stations need to be connected to your Packing Partner, and users added who are allowed to access the Packing Station. In the Account Tab>Subscription view under Packing Stations, click Manage.

Packing Stations are connected to Packing Partner using a one time connect code. It is created on Packing Partner, then entered into the Packing Station.

Each user can have their own login to the Packing Station, these are setup in Packing Partner and automatically transferred to the Packing Stations, when you click Save Changes.

Settings | Enable output to the Packing Station from Packing Partner>Tools>Settings>Packing. Set Enable packing apps, to Yes. It is also easiest to set Send when mark printed and Mark shipped when packed, to Yes.

Ensure that the shared folder is the same on both Packing Partner and the Packing Station. (See Packing station settings, below).

![]() Carrier credentials
Add your carrier credentials to the Packing station settings textbox, and click Send to packing stations. This will ensure that your carrier credentials are available to the Packing Station for creating on demand labels.

Make sure you have set the settings on the Packing Station, by clicking the Settings button at the bottom of the main window.

Basic processing | You will need to have the {SaleId} or {ScanId} field on your layout as a barcode, so it can be scanned into the Packing Station.
Once you have everything setup, print your delivery note or invoice and mark the records printed. The orders will be sent to the shared folder, and read by the Packing Station.
On the Packing Station, scan the barcode to find the corresponding record. If you have already set the shipping method and carrier, the Packing Station will open the carrier dialog with those details.

![]() If the carrier details were not entered on Packing Partner, you will see a blank dialog, ready to select the carrier details.

Preset carrier and service | Frequently used carriers and services can be saved as presets. Presets are not shared with other Packing stations, they are only stored on the PC, they are created on.
Storing presets
To store a preset, scan an order to show the Carrier Service dialog, enter the carrier and service to use for the parcel, then click Preset, give it a name then click Store. Stored presets will then show in the carrier list. Selecting the preset will fill the carrier and service boxes with the stored details.

To delete a stored preset, select it from the list, then click the Preset button. A conditioned dialog will ask you to confirm that you want to delete the preset.

Filtering carriers | You can limit the carriers in the list to the ones you use from Settings>Script.
Set carrier names
After clicking Settings>Script, paste the following code into the script editor.
Insert just above the line End Module, and click Run on the top toolbar:

If you need to add other carriers: Open the script and type an apostrophe before the word Return, so the list is temporarily disabled.
Get the name of the carrier you want to add, by scanning a parcel. Add it to the list in the script, then remove the apostrophe to enable the list, and click Run.

Stored metrics | If you use stored metrics in Packing Partner, any metrics you enter in the dialog will be shared with Packing Partner and any other packing stations, using the same shared folder.

Edit the carrier names for the ones you use, where each carrier is enclosed in quotes and separated by a comma.
